13.9.10

its been a while heres a few albums to check out

Haven't been on here a while since I've been moving and started a new job as a samichdude at jimmy johns so here's more music (i don't even know who I'm posting for, if anyone)

First up is Dawn from Sweden. I had been looking for a download of this album for a while and finally found it. Pretty good black metal without the boring constant blast beats and tremello picking. Here is their first full length "Nær Sólen Gar Niþer For Evogher" (1994).

Next is "Til Minne..." from one of Gaahl"s (gorgoroth, gaahlskaag, wardruna) numerous projects. Its essentially him picking up where he left off with "Ad Majorem Sathanas Gloriam" but with a different backing band. A good album for those into gaahl era gorgoroth, not so much for the infernus loyalists (although if you have that mindset i doubt you would even bother to give this a listen in the first place).

And finally I bring to you France's Alcest (neige from peste noire's brainchild).  This is their first EP entitled "Le Secret". Its two songs the first one opens up with a 3 minute guitar intro before the rest of the instruments and the black metal riffing burst in. The only way i can really describe this album is melancholy shoegaze meets Peste Noire-esque black metal. Honestly one of my favorite albums i have heard recently and definitely worth checking out. Its good stuff
